It is bride Annie Gill’s mother who discovered Bridelan on Instagram a year before the wedding of her daughter. Her mom has zero posts but follows all the major fashion pages on Instagram. I am so grateful for followers like Suvinder Gill who are the hidden gems on social media. For they are the strong thread that truly connects like-minded vendors to their dream couple. Annie Gill and Ripan Dhillon are from the Bay area and live in San Jose. They got in touch with us for styling, post their wedding shopping. The entire exercise was conducted over FaceTime and several video calls. New separates were made, jewellery was majorly reworked and a lot of time was spent in communicating in actually styling the couple across the continents. Technology can make anything possible. Styling, then, is just a matter of trust, understanding and most crucially, human experience and response. If one can trust ‘things’ such as luxury goods to be shopped over Amazon then trusting a real voice and human being to make your wedding look more beautiful should not be a tough call.

“I had been following Bridelan for many years on Instagram. The moment I got in touch with Nisha and the Bridelan team, our minds were blown. I had done our wedding trousseau shopping in Delhi the year before getting married. Once back in the States, we started the additional wedding planning, along with working full-time, purchasing our first home, finishing my Masters… the stress added on. She was available on FaceTime throughout the wedding planning process and wedding events itself. Everyone told us we looked so relaxed and calm at our events. It’s because we were.
